An Inspiring City: Charleston, South Carolina

07/31/2012

Every once in awhile you visit a place that seduces you with its beauty, charm, and mystery.
I have to admit I was taken by surprise on my visit to Charleston last week.
The combination of the history, southern gentility, and torpid heat had this California girl swooning.
It was love at first sight.
Charleston is a true southern belle.

I love to visit old graveyards.
How about you?

We went to Charleston for the weekend on our visit to Charlotte to visit one of my great friends and her daughters.
I was so happy to be able to visit her!
I have a few very good friends who live far away and I am so grateful to be able to visit them once in awhile to keep our friendships strong!

I know! Just an hour and 15 minutes from me! I love it! However, no good fabric stores… what’s the deal with THAT!? I’ve heard there is one in West Ashley, but that’s not Charleston!

I hope you are not too hot this summer Vanessa! That heat takes some getting used to!

Beautiful!!! I visited South Carolina once but we only made it as far as Myrtle Beach. I would have much preferred Charleston, it looks so pretty 🙂

    Charleston is Beautiful!

I spent 9 days or so there with My Fiance in 2010. That is where he asked me to marry him.

It is also where they film Army Wives
