DIY Tribal Leather Feather Earrings

08/01/2013

Today I’m sharing a crafty project that takes 15 minutes to make not including drying time for a series going on over at The Country Chic Cottage & 30 Minute Crafts.
Tribal Style Painted Leather Feather Earrings.
Ok maybe this project is more like 30 minutes if you sew on the leather in step 2.
If you want to make sure to do it in 15 minutes skip that part!

Thank you Zionne for modeling!
These earrings were perfect with her top.

Supplies needed
leather scrap
gold paint
white paint
black paint
turquoise paint
earring kit

Poke a little hole in the top of the earrings with a nail, add a jump ring and an earring post and you are done!

What are we cutting the fringe with? An exacto knife?

These earrings are beautiful and so unique. Thank you for sharing how to make them. I love the colour combinations in the jewellery earrings. The stitching is worth the time it took as it adds a nice detail to the jewellery design.

Your step by step information to create a ear ring is looking quite impressive and easy. The tribal ear ring design is looking beautiful. Definitely i will try to make one for my daughter and present it to on her birthday with a dress.

Do you think it would work with permanent marker instead of painting the leather?

Where do you buy the leather scraps?
