Yellow Adirondacks For My Back Porch Spruce Up

07/15/2013

I am loving yellow this summer so I painted some neglected Adirondack chairs I found on Craigslist for my Back Porch Spruce Up.
The back porch isn’t  done but it’s come a long way from the clutter collecting station is was .
Before and after!
When going from dark to light you should PRIME!
The first chair I didn’t prime and it needed twice as much paint as the chair that I primed.
I used pastel yellow spray paint.
The area near my screen door is perfect to display two of my vintage tin French signs.
We finally replaced our screen door! That’s my no sew banner tutorial from last week.

We use this old basket for picking fruit from the trees.
Happy Summer!

I love your chairs.. What a great transformation the yellow is. I have a friend who painted hers orange..They were pretty too.
I have 2 chairs and one -2 seater..My hubby got on a building spree a few years ago and built the whole set ,including tables. I painted them white..But, they are needing a paint job.. I may just go yellow.
    thanks for sharing.

Oooh, such a pretty shade of yellow. I agree about the primer, especially with a colour like yellow. Off now to link through to the Purple Pumpkin, 🙂
